Beris Comfort Gag

Cheltenham Gag with Comfort Bar - this gag is a very useful bit to improve the outline and add additional breaks. It is highly recommended to use this bit with two reins. The second rein causes a tipping effect of the bit whilst moving the mouthpiece back to the edge of the mouth. This in turn creates a stronger effect on the lip, upper bar and tongue. This bit is a good choice for horses that tend to lean on the bit, fall on the forehand or need to reach a higher collection.

The comfort straight bar or Mullen mouthpiece is a very mild mouthpiece as it is unvarying which means the pressure on the mouth doesn't change much as it's a fixed mouthpiece. It's a very useful type of mouthpiece for horses who have a very soft mouth and don't like complicated mouthpieces.
